Additionally, each button carries a inscription. An already cataloged CD can also be found easily: Just choose a category from the left selection area and then select the desired CD from the list in the middle. During the cataloging of a CD, its directory and file structure is stored in a file on the hard drive. With a standard CD rom drive with e.g. 32x-s the process itself will only take about 5 seconds. The created file is only between 50 to 150 KB big, an amount, which surely everyone invests gladly in favor of increased order. The cataloging can be done completely automatically without any effort of the user. If the corresponding option is selected, each newly inserted CD rom is read automatically. Powerful search functions will help you to search for files and folders. The functionality of the search dialog is divided into 2 separate sheets, in order to obtain a maximum of clarity. On the first sheet all functions are accommodated to start the search as fast as possible. Additionally, the search can be limited further. So for example only files of a specific size can be searched, so that the allowed results can be restricted. If desired, all available categories or only a certain one can be searched, what leads to an increase of the total search speed. You will find a screenshot here. |

With those two functions you can recover your whole CD collection, after an unexpected head crash for example, without having to catalog the concerning CDs again. Or, however, you can use the import and export assistants in order to have the same data bank basis on several computers at the same time.
